Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Navivo ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By downloading or using Navivo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

| Language Preference | ✅ Yes (local only) | Stored on your device via AsyncStorage |
| Ad Interaction Data | ⚠️ By Google AdMob | Ad targeting and frequency — see Section 6 |
| Name / Email / Phone | ❌ Never | Not collected at any point |
| Contacts / Camera / Storage | ❌ Never | Not requested or accessed |
| Usage Analytics | ❌ Never | We do not use analytics SDKs |
How We Use Data
Any information obtained by Navivo is used solely to provide the core app functionality:
- Location data is used to query the Google Places API and display nearby fuel pumps, hospitals, and restaurants on the map.
- Search text is sent to Google Places Autocomplete to suggest matching locations as you type.
- Language preference is stored locally on your device so your selected language (English, Hindi, Gujarati, or Marathi) is remembered between sessions.
We do not use your data for profiling, marketing, or any purpose beyond making the app work for you.
Location Data
Navivo requests "While Using the App" location permission only. This means:
- Your location is accessed only when you are actively using the App.
- Location is never tracked in the background.
- Your coordinates are sent to the Google Places API to retrieve nearby places. Google's privacy practices govern this data transfer.
- We do not store, log, or transmit your location to our own servers — we have no servers.
Third-Party Services
Navivo integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Maps SDK | Displaying the interactive map | policies.google.com |
| Google Places API | Location search autocomplete and nearby places | policies.google.com |
| Google AdMob | Displaying banner and interstitial ads | Google Ads Policy |
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services to understand how they handle data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Navivo uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use:
- Device identifiers (Android Advertising ID)
- App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks)
- Approximate location for ad targeting
- Device information (model, OS version, language)
This data is collected by Google, not by us. Google uses it to serve relevant advertisements according to its own privacy and advertising policies.
Navivo runs ads to support free access to the app. We use test ad IDs during development and production ad IDs in released versions. Ad revenue helps us maintain and improve the service.
Data Storage & Security
All data stored by Navivo remains on your local device:
- Language preference is stored using React Native AsyncStorage, a local key-value store on your device.
- No user data is sent to or stored on Navivo-owned servers. We operate no servers of our own.
- All API communication with Google services occurs over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
Because we store no data on our end, there is no Navivo account to be breached. Your primary data exposure is through the third-party services listed in Section 5, each of which maintains enterprise-grade security practices.
Children's Privacy
Navivo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from any user, this concern is largely mitigated by design.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the address in Section 11 and we will take appropriate action.
Your Rights
Because Navivo collects no personal data on our servers, many traditional data rights (access, correction, portability, erasure) are exercised directly on your device:
- Clear language preference: Clear the App's data via Android Settings → Apps → Navivo → Storage → Clear Data.
- Revoke location access: Android Settings → Apps → Navivo → Permissions → Location → Deny.
- Opt out of AdMob personalisation: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored App data.
For data held by Google (Maps, Places, AdMob), please refer to Google's privacy controls.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated through an in-app notice or an updated APK release.
Continued use of Navivo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
